Flight 8303 was carrying 90 passengers and eight crew members from Lahore to Karachi which was about land crashed in Karachi near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. As per the reports from Pakistan local media, the plane crashed into the residential area while panic rose as locals report huge blast with a dense cloud of smoke.

While media awaits further information, fire trucks reached the crash site and rescue operations are underway for PIA Airbus A320 crash. “This has been a terrible year all around. The wreckage and homes remain on fire with jet fuel,” said one of the locals. Pakistan Army’s official spokesperson said that military choppers reached the spot and rescue efforts were on.
This accident came in the wake of the country began allowing commercial flights to resume after planes were grounded during a lockdown over the coronavirus pandemic. Grief gloomed the country while the citizens are preparing to celebrate the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr, with many travelling back to their homes in cities and villages.
