Hours after the state registered 17 news cases in less than 12 hours, tensions gripped Andhra Pradesh with the count hiking while 14 other cases were registered. As the neighbouring state Telangana is battling with the increasing number of positive cases with each passing day, the Corona heat intensified in Andhra Pradesh as well.
Meanwhile, panic ran high in West Godavari, one of the districts with zero Corona positive cases with as many as 14 news cases registered. According to the reports from the district health authorities released by the collector Mutyalaraju, the district reported 14 new cases while the number of infected cases in AP so far has reached 58.

With this, the state topped the district with the highest number of cases in Andhra Pradesh overnight. Officials confirmed that tests were conducted to 30 people who have travel history to Nizamuddin in the second week of March amongst which 4 turned positive, 10 negative and the reports of six are awaited. Surprisingly, few of the people who turned positive haven’t confronted any of the Corona symptoms. Speculation floated that the effected 6 places would be soon announced as Red Zones.
Devotees from different parts of the country and Asia had attended a convention of preachers held by the Tableeghi Jamaat here earlier this month, where some of them contracted the virus. Tensions ran in the premises of Nizamuddin area as the Delhi police cordoned off the area with almost 400 houses under observation.
