Despite the corona scare taking over the attention, politics in Guntur politics heated up with speculations over cabinet expansion which is likely to take place in November. Though the district is battling with corona and recent floods on the other side, reports that the Chilakaluripet MLA Vidadala Rajini would soon get a place in the cabinet has taken over debates in the Guntur YSRCP circles.
According to the district reports, it was learnt that the YSRCP female leader has been giving tough times for the other senior leaders while rumours that supremo Jagan in speculating to give a crucial ministry to a BC leader from the district. Lady quota and being quite popular on social media has reportedly come to Rajini’s rescue.
Though she faced criticism over snubbing the COVID norms being in a responsible position, her relief works during lockdown grabbed the attention of high command. Rounding off, with strong local cadre, Rajini increased her chances to now become a leader on the state level.
Reports also have it that, there has been continuous scrutiny on the leader while the leader was learnt to openly rant that her mobiles are being tapped. On the other hand, it was learnt that the BC leader has approached the high command lashing out on her YSRCP opponent in the district for deliberately maligning her popularity.
In speculation which coincided with CM Jagan’s promise to expand cabinet after two and half years, almost all the MLA who lost their chance in 2019 are now awaiting a call from the supremo. We have to wait and see what is in stock for these leaders.
