Pawan’s ultimatum to Jagan-led governmentNamed as ‘Rythu Soubhagya Deeksha’, the actor-turned-politician called for a sit-in protest at Kakinada. Taking to the protest which started at 8 AM on Thursday, Pawan lashed out on Chief Minister Jagan for turning a blind eye to farmer problems.
“I reached to many farmers still struggling in every corner of farming right from buying seeds to selling the yield for a minimum support price. It is miserable that the leaders who once flocked around the farmers for votes are now not even ready to listen to them. The government is ignoring that Rs 2,500 per quintal of rice needs to be paid for farmers according to the Swaminathan Committee reports,” averred Pawan. In the wake of the Chief Minister Jagan making statements that the government would advertise the minimum support price in newspapers, Pawan passed the ultimatum to the government to clear all the dues and to provide receipts at millers. Pawan Kalyan is accompanied by Nadendla Manohar, Mega Brother Nagababu and other party leaders in the protest held in JNTU grounds, Kakinada.
