Former JDU leader Prashant Kishor came down heavily on the recent ‘Unlock 1.0’ announced by the Modi-led central government. Stating that the county would soon touch the 2 lakh positive cases mark, the renowned political strategist lashed out on the government for allegedly turning the public health issue into a full-blown humanitarian crisis with a series of ‘strategic mistakes’.
Taking statistical reports in defence with his arguments made, PK claimed that the number of cases increased by 1,002 times when compared to the pre-lockdown phase. He also reminded that India is now in 13th place with death rate increasing at 1, 348 times. Further blaming the government for the present pathetical scenario, PK in a tweet wrote-“the phase-wise reopening plan ‘we are setting ourselves for catastrophe.
A botched up #lockdown and series of strategic mistakes have turned a public health issue into a full-blown humanitarian crisis.
Now instead of going for a course correction that is guided by scientific evidence and data with #unlock1 we are setting ourselves for a catastrophe.
