While the state is doldrums with increasing corona cases, heaping up financial crisis and as the state government gets a series of judiciary strikes, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan’s one-day visit to Delhi on Tuesday assumed significance.
Though there is no clarity in the itinerary and the agenda behind, sources confirmed that the CM would meet the head pawns of BJP-led government including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. AP CMO was learnt to fix appointments with meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Health Minister Harshvardhan.
Jagan is expected to complete all his scheduled meetings by Tuesday night and will head to Tirumala to offer silk robes to Lord Venkateswara as part of Brahmostavalu. Sources have it that CBI probe into the Antarvedi chariot fire and the Amaravati issue, AP Disha Criminal Law and the release of funds are the key issues to be discussed with the respective ministers.
It can be noted that Jagan’s last visit to Delhi in June, during which he was to meet the Union Home Minister and Union Jal Shakti Minister, was cancelled at the last minute.
