New Delhi: Amidst a row of accusations and agitations, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to New Delhi took prominence. And the buzz is that the Centre took no chance to disappoint him. As a part of his visit, Jagan on Monday has met Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and then the Union Minister Amit Shah. In accord to the reports, Shah has given a ‘go-a-head’ nod to Jagan regarding the Polavaram re-tendering issue. The Centre has also assured that they would consider Jagan’s plea to set up High Court benches in Visakhapatnam and Kurnool.
Jagan who reached Delhi to attend the meeting arranged by Amit Shah for the Chief Ministers of Naxals-affected states has met the Union Minister after the meeting. Information from the trusted source revealed that discussing Polavaram re-tendering was the main agenda of the meet and Amit Shah ended the meet on a positive note. It is learned that Jagan had also given a detailed route-map to the Union Home Minister on the State government plan to decentralise the administration. Jagan has also met Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who assured that the Centre will take a decision in the favour of the State as well as the project.
