Andhra Pradesh is no longer a state with less positive cases..! By the time the citizen started feeling safe over the same, tension started gripping in almost all the main cities with a sudden hike of 43 new cases overnight.
Panic ran high in West Godavari, one of the districts with zero Corona positive cases with as many as 14 news cases registered. Reportedly, the majority of the confirmed cases is the people who attended the Nizamuddin congregation held in the second week of March. The religious meeting held with almost 3,000 attendees which raised concerns over the spread in almost 5 cities now has now spread to almost 15 major cities in India.
The health officials stated that a total of 373 samples of the people who attended the congregation were sent for testing out of which 43 turned positive raising the number of infected to 87 in the state. According to the latest reports, 15 cases were recorded in Kurnool, 15 in Kadapa and 13 cases in West Godavari while maximum cases are speculated to be the contact transmission cases.
