They go through a rough patch of the journey every single day. Roads in Hyderabad’s Peerzadiguda area has been giving tough times for the locals from the past few months. And the seasonal rains worsened the roads’ condition. Few of the commuters including school going kids met with frequent accidents which pushed the locals to take it to the notice of municipal corporation. But the efforts went in vain as the authorities refused to take up the works immediately showing the monsoon rains as the excuse. Waiting for almost 6 months, the irked locals came up with an out-of-the-box idea to protest against the authorities.
A bunch of people gathered to plant saplings in the potholes on roads in Peerzadiguda area. While one of the residents lashed out on the authorities who turned a blind eye on the issue, the other one who is busy planting the samplings demanded a permanent solution. On this note, it came to the notice that college student met with an accident due to the condition of the roads in Hyderabad who later succumbed to the injuries.
