While the whole country is immersively celebrating the festival in different manners, Telangana state on the other hand has been having a rough time due to the imposition of GO 317. Working employees and teachers are continuing their struggle in the case of GO 317. Pragati Bhavan was besieged demanding the cancellation of GO. This created tension in the area.
The teachers rushed to Pragati Bhavan at once and expressed their concern. The police were alert and stopped them. Protesting teachers were detained. Later some more teachers moved towards Pragati Bhavan. They expressed their protest in stages.
Police deployed from Panjagutta arrested the teachers on the spot. Even a few days ago, teachers surrounded Pragati Bhavan in a similar manner. Arrests continued during that time.
Teachers say couples are being sent to different places because employee transfers are not happening regularly. The employees seemed tired and helpless with the consistent strikes and protests every day. Different groups are carrying on their activism in a different way, many are ending up in prisons while the police and government are messing with their lives.
