The health condition of former President Pranab Mukherjee, who recently underwent brain surgery to remove a clot is reportedly deteriorating from the past few hours.
According to the latest health bulletin released by the doctors of the army’s Research and Referral hospital, the 84-year-old Pranab is still in deep coma and continues to be on ventilator support.
“Shri Pranab Mukherjee is being treated for lung infection. His renal parameters are slightly deranged since yesterday. He continues to be in deep coma and on ventilator support,” the hospital said in a statement.
Pranab Mukherjee was admitted to the Army’s Research and Referral hospital in Delhi cantonment on August 10. The former President had also tested positive for Covid-19 at the time of admission after which the surgery turned inevitable.
Pranab’s son Abhijit Mukherjee and daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee are regularly tweeting the updates health condition of their father. They have also rubbished “speculation” and “fake news” about his death recently followed by a social media hoax.
