It is well known that there are speculations about renowned election strategist Prashanth Kishore joining the party. Amid these assumptions, PK now met the party chief Sonia Gandhi. PK was present during a crucial meeting between party chief Sonia Gandhi and party leaders on Saturday. To discuss the tough strategies for the coming Assembly elections and the general elections, he was part of the Congress set-up event called Chitan Shibir or Chintan Bhaitak. However, it is learned that Sonia Gandhi also spoke to party leaders about PK’s participation in the meeting.
Earlier, Prashant Kishore had said that a decision on his political future would be taken by May 2. It is in this context- Prashant Kishore attending a crucial meeting of Congress leaders to discuss the country’s interest in politics is making the headlines in political news. The meeting was attended by top party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Ambika Soni, Digvijay Singh, Mallikarjuna Kharge, Ajay Maken, and Casey Venugopal. However, it is learned that they have already discussed the inclusion of PK in the Congress party. PK, who came to a meeting of party leaders recently, seems to have outlined his views on strategies for the upcoming elections.
Although Prashant Kishore had earlier planned to join the Congress in 2020, he was unable to do so due to differences on several issues. Earlier, it was rumored that Prashant Kishore met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in March. Although there is no official word on the meeting, rumors are circulating that PK may be joining the party again.
PK has previously worked with Congress for the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections. In that election, the Congress party won 77 of the 117 seats. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won a landslide victory using the PK’s strategy. With this, Kishore got good recognition. PK is already campaigning with leaders of several regional parties with the aim of preventing the BJP from coming to power at the Center in the upcoming elections.
