The abrupt transfer of the Chief Secretary L V Subrahmanyam who is said to be one of the key bureaucrats in Andhra Pradesh CMO has stirred debates in the state politics. The transfer took significance amidst the rumoured spat between the Principal Secretary Praveen Prakash and the CS. The show-cause notice that was issued by the CS allegedly without the consent of CM has added fuel to the spat-rumour which shocked the entire administration in CM office. As Subrahmanyam chose is go on for a long leave, the other bureaucrats refused to react on the issue so far. However, breaking the ice, the senior bureaucrat Praveen Prakash reacted to the controversy and the rumours around the issue.
Reacting to the insubordination allegations, Praveen Prakash said that the proposal was discussed in detail during the preparatory meeting held at 4 pm on October 29. ‘In the presence of Chief Secretary we all decided to place it in the cabinet. In sequential order, it was brought to the Cabinet. The proposed scheme features, as well as the aspects of the Cabinet note, had already been discussed in the meeting referred above.” He also said that the notice & the incidences followed by has given him pain and are questioning the common values the bureaucrats uphold.
