A committee has been formed on the suicide attempt of a medical student who took a harmful injection in Warangal MGM Hospital because she could not bear the harassment of the seniors. MGM Superintendent Chandrasekhar formed a committee with four professors. After examining the details of the case, the report will be given to the DME in a sealed cover. DME Ramesh Reddy’s comments regarding Preethi’s suicide attempt have become controversial. Her father Narendra responded that it was wrong for the DME to deny ragging. It is alleged that an attempt is being made to divert the case. It is said that his daughter tried to commit suicide due to ragging. He said that his daughter told him that ragging was going on and he also informed the concerned police station about it. He said that there are also messages related to that.

Earlier DME Ramesh Reddy visited Preeti who was undergoing treatment at Nims Hospital. He asked the doctors about her health condition. After talking to the media, he said that Preeti’s health condition is still critical. He said that there will be no ragging among PG students. He said that if there is ragging in undergraduate and secondary, it can happen. He said that an inquiry will be conducted regarding what kind of harassment was done in the case of Dr. Preeti. They said that they got a reply from Saif that he told Preeti as a senior about his duties.

Nims doctors have released a health bulletin on Preeti’s health condition. Her condition is critical. He is currently being treated on a ventilator. Multi organs are said to have failed completely. Nims doctors revealed that they are presently being treated with Ekmo support. Preeti’s family members and fellow students are deeply worried by the doctor’s announcement. The arrest of the accused
Police have registered a case of ragging and atrocity against accused Saif in this case. Crime No. 69/2023 U/S 306 R/W 108, 354 of IPC, 4(V) of Ragging Act, 3(1)(R), 3 (2)(VA), 3(1)(W)( ii) Off SC and ST Act has been registered. According to the complaint filed by the victim’s relatives, a case has been registered after investigation and departmental action will be taken after further investigation.
Police negligence
Sensational facts are coming to light in Preeti’s suicide attempt case. The victim’s father says that Warangal ACP Bonala Kishan’s negligence is also the cause of this incident. Preeti told her father about the atrocities committed by the accused Saif. As he is an ASI in Warangal Railway Police, he thought he would get protection. ACP Bonala phoned Kishan and told him the details but he did not respond. Sent a message but did not respond properly. It is said that Saif could not bear the harassment and the police did not pay attention to it, so his daughter committed suicide. Preity’s father said that Saif used to threaten him that he had a crush on Home Minister Mahmood Ali.
Governor’s consultation
Governor Tamilisai visited Preeti who was undergoing treatment at NIMS. She said that her health is critical, and wished for a speedy recovery and return with cooperation in the treatment. She said that many developments have occurred in this case and it is impossible to say what happened now. All the students were told to be brave. The governor asked the police to conduct a full investigation into the case. “I heard Preethi is a very clever student, it’s sad that such a girl is trying to commit suicide,” said Tamilisai.
