“KTR will soon assume office as TRS chief”. The state political circles are indeed fed up with this news, as local reports every now and then speculate the TRS scion take over the party activities. However, the supremo seems to wait for the right time. Amidst this, the news again hit to headlines IT minister and working president of TRS, KTR announced the elections for the party’s state president on Wednesday.
According to reports from Pragathi Bhavan, KCR is contemplating on fielding KTR in the presidential race. It is learned that KCR took the decision as KTR gain hold on the party activities in the next two years to before the Assembly elections. Sources also have it that KCR will designate the election and ticket allotment responsibilities to KTR after he assumes the office.
Party sources confirmed that KTR has already appointed working groups at the village, mandal, and district levels to analyze the strength of the leaders amongst the public in their respective constituencies. As per the schedule, the nominations can be cast until October 22 and the scrutinizing of the same will take place on the 23rd. If a candidate chooses to withdraw their name, they can do so on October 24 as the elections will finally take place on October 25.
