The much-awaited visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has finally happened. A grand ceremony was held for the inauguration of Shri Ramanujacharya’s grand statue. Speaking at the occasion, PM Modi dedicated the statue to the nation stating that Ramanujacharya was an inspiration to our ancestors. The statue made out of five precious metals was as tall as 216 feet placed on the 54 feet base. It was unveiled at Muchhintal, Shamshabad. Prior to that, the Prime Minister conducted special pujas for the golden idol.

PM Modi has made it clear that the principle of equality of Ramanujacharya is the inspiration for our Constitution, while Ambedkar was a modern leader who has worked to eliminate inequalities. Modi added that Dvaita and Advaita are coexisteing in the country, while Ramanujacharya’s Visishtadvaita is the inspiration of all of it.
Celebrating the principles of Ramanujacharya, PM Modi admired his great preachings of devotion that are irrespective of caste or creed. PM also reminded that it was Ramanujacharya who fought for Dalits’ rights on entering temples, abolishing racism, ethics, and morals among the harmonious societies. Especially, the PM seemed happy with the setting up of 108 Divya Desha Mandirs in Sriramanagaram. He expressed delight in embracing all the temples in the country all over again.
Meanwhile, Chinna Jiyar Swamy praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that he is a man who imbibes many great qualities of Shri Ramanujacharya. He said the people of the country made it through the toughest times and even voiced on Kashmir only after the arrival of PM Modi.
