For the last five years, we have been witnessing some grand changeovers in the Indian economy. All these changes are on a macro-level affecting the livelihoods of the people of the state. With time, all the government institutions are slowly transforming into private. Many assets and industries are literally sold to private companies for the sake of boosting growth and extracting the maximum utilization.
However, MLC Jeevan Reddy criticized the central and state governments for ignoring the rights and needs of workers’ fundamental rights and progressing toward privatization. He took part in the protest in front of the Jagittyala District Collectorate as part of a nationwide strike against labor laws. The unity of the trade unions was applauded.
He slammed the governments alleging that they are grabbing the lands of poor people. MLC Jeevan Reddy criticized PM Modi for privatizing everything that was once nationalized by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Jeevan Reddy went on asking PM Modi about his promises of ‘bringing back the black money that is freely sitting in foreign banks and moving it into people’s accounts. He questioned why that work has not been done till now. He bashed the state government for promising to give double bedroom houses to people but instead giving just Rs 3 lakhs.
Further, he bashed the central and state governments for harassing farmers when it comes to buying grain. Jeevan Reddy alleged that Industries Minister KTR did not even care to respond when 30,000 looms were stopped in his own constituency- Sirisilla.
