The main Opposition TDP party n Tuesday has issued privilege notice to the Chief Minister Jagan over his objectionable comments on TDP leaders in the State assembly. It is known that TDP chief Chandrababu along with his leaders has been holding agitations in the Assembly premises protesting against the Jagan-led government. The same has happened in the sessions and the ‘Marshall abuse’ has added fuel to the protests. Amidst this, Jagan’s comments that TDP leaders are ‘not MLAs, but buffoons’ triggered controversies. Upon which TDP MLA Anagani Satya Prasad approached the assembly secretary to take action against Jagan over the comments made on the record. He also included a few YSRCP MLAs’ names urging the secretary to take action under Rule No. 169.
On this note, Opposition chief Chandrababu Naidu breathed fire on Jagan for making objectionable comments besides holding a respectable position. “Opposition leaders are being snubbed in the assembly sessions. The leaders who want to voice the public in their constituency are not given opportunities to speak. This is a kind of reverse governance,” he averred. This is not the first time the privilege notice was issued to the ruling party. Last week a few of the TDP leaders met with Speaker Tammeni to complain against the atrocities of Marshalls at the assembly entrance.
