Delhi Polls has been the talk of the nation which stood crucial for Aam Aadmi Party(AAM) and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). The capital on Saturday recorded 55% turnout by 6.30 PM while the communally charged campaign amid anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests was witnessed. Politicians and Delhi-based celebrities lined up to cast their vote who took to social media to urge the citizens to exercise their right. Amongst all, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra’s son Raihan who voted for the first-time grabbed the media attention at booth no.114 & 116 in Lodhi Estate.
Not only this, the 19-year-old shared his heart out with the media who urged him to talk. Stating that it was a nice feeling to take part in the democratic process, Raihan requested everyone should exercise their right to vote. While a media person asked his opinion about the situations in Delhi, Raihan said that government should encourage citizens to take public transport. “Especially students should be provided with subsidy on the passes issued to commute,” he added. Raihan’s mother, Priyanka Gandhi then urged Delhi residents to not be lazy and vote in maximum numbers in state assembly polls.
