Raghava, son of TRS MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao, who was arrested in the Palvancha Ramakrishna family suicide case, has been remanded in judicial custody for 14 days. He was produced before the Kottagudem Magistrate by the police. The court remanded Raghava in judicial custody. The police shifted him to Bhadrachalam sub-jail.
Ramakrishna’s family committed suicide on the 3rd of this month. Ramakrishna poured petrol on his wife and two daughters and set them on fire. Took a selfie video before the suicide. In it, he is seen saying that he is dying because of Vanama Raghava. In the process, Raghava fled to escape from the police. But, was caught and arrested near Mandalapally, Dammapeta Mandal in Bhadradri Kottagudem by 8 teams.
Raghava underwent medical tests at the Palwancha Government Hospital. He was tested negative for COVID, then produced before the Kottagudem Magistrate. The court remanded Vanama Raghava in judicial custody for 14 days.
ASP Rohit Raj, who had earlier spoken to the media on the case, said Raghava had admitted that he had threatened Ramakrishna. There are a total of 12 cases against him. He said that a full investigation will be conducted on the cases registered in the past.
