In the wake of 90’s television show, Ramanand Sagar’s mythological show ’Ramayan’ achieved a major milestone as it became the most viewed show in the world, social media channels flooded with another unexpected name on Monday. Twitteratti not only praised the show but also recently demanded ‘Baahubali’ director SS Rajamouli to recreate this epic.

Thousands of Twitter users took to the hashtag #RajamouliMakeRamayan requesting Jakkanna to recreate ‘Ramayan’ in his style. Adding to it, a few of the fans also took the names of celebrities who would suit the characters of Rama, Seetha and Ramayan.

Reacting to the trending hashtag, Rajamouli revealed that it has been his dream to wield the megaphone for a mythological film. “It is not a project which can be down in a year’s time. We need a lot of groundwork and a team which supports the larger than life experience. I need time,” he said.
