As the tensions continued to prevail high in the capital region against the ‘three capital’ proposal, the protests took a new turn on Monday. Followed by a rally at Penumaka, YSRCP Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy was arrested by the Guntur police along with his supporters. The ruling party leader was seen rallying in support for the ‘three capital’ proposal raising slogans holding placards. On this note, RK was taken into custody for snubbing the prohibitory orders in the region where Section 144 was imposed. While the leader set his rally from Penumaka to the Bharat Mata statue in Tadepalli in Guntur district, police forces were seen deployed at the rally to avoid untoward incidents.

RK was forcefully taken into custody and sent to the local police station. The police also detained leaders and women who had come in support of the leader in the rally. Days after RK made controversial statements on the Amaravati farmers that they didn’t sacrifice the but did business, the YSRCP leader took a bold step to rally in the capital region. Sources revealed that RK was not being active in his own constituency also post the ‘three capital’ announcement.
