Though the party was left with a humiliating defeat in the assembly elections, JanaSena Chief Pawan Kalyan from an amateur leader rose to a crucial part in Opposition in short period. But is the party limping only with the charm of the actor-turned-politician? Is JanaSena on the verge of losing the only MLA? Yes, says the scenarios triggering speculations that the budding party is struggling with a lot of situations.
Amidst the rumours that the party has issued show-cause notices to the only MLA Rapaka Varaprasad, a roll of comments from his end gave a jolt of sorts to the party cadre. In the wake of Rapaka’s going all praise for Chief Minister Jagan in assembly followed by his suspicious absence in ‘Rythu Saubhagya Deeksha’, rumours broke out that the chief sent a show-cause notice for the former demanding an explanation. Though it was later confirmed as fake news by the JanaSena sources, it indeed irked Rapaka who lashed out claiming his crucial presence in the party. “I am not someone who won with the party’s name. I am not an MLA with anyone’s alms. How can the party send me show-cause notice? They should remember that I am the only voice for the party in the assembly,” he added. Rapaka’s reaction that too for a rumour has now become the focal point of discussions in political circles.
Not only this, Oliver Roy, the leader of the party’s Christian union filing a complaint against Pawan over the later’s remarks which allegedly triggered communal violence and a few of the MLAs publicly admitting that the party has no proper agenda has confirmed the news that there has been simmering discontent in the party cadre. Adding fuel to these scenarios, Pawan lashing out on his fans blaming them for him losing the elections welcomed criticism. Amidst all this, Pawan meeting the Modi-Shah duo and making statements in favour of BJP gave secret hints to the rumour mongers that the party would soon join hands with the ruling BJP. If this is to be believed, the above-discussed situations will no longer effect Pawan as long as the power duo is behind him.
