It was indeed a golden opportunity for the young director Sujeeth to team up with Megastar, that too for a blockbuster remake of a film like ‘Lucifer’. As all eyes are on the direction team which announced that the final script was ready, news that the ‘Sahoo’ director was opted out of the project came as a jolt to many.
While rumours had it that Sujeeth’s final draft has not managed to meet the expectations of Chiranjeevi and producers, the real reasons remained unknown until Megastar breaking the ice recently. Clearing the air around the director’s replacement, Chiranjeevi revealed that it was Sujeeth decision to opt-out of the project.
It was stated that Sujeeth could not concentrate on the ‘Mega’ project with recent developments in his personal life. Chiranjeevi too apparently understood him and agreed to let him go. What happened next is known to all. Director VV Vinayak was roped in, while final tweaks are being made to the script.
The makers will launch the film by the end of the year and the regular shoot will begin in the next month once Chiranjeevi’s project ‘Acharya’ with Koratala Siva wraps up final schedule.
