In a slew of the announcement, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited stated that it would combat the Corona crisis in the country. The company which has been taking up various welfare activities through its NGO Reliance Foundation announced a raft of measures, including ramping up production capacity to 100,000 face masks per day. In an official statement issued by the PR cell, the company took the privilege of setting up India’s first dedicated 100-bedded hospital for the Coronavirus patients in Mumbai.
In a statement, Reliance stated that it has initiated multi-pronged prevention, mitigation, and ongoing support strategy. It also said that 6,00,000 members of the Reliance Family will be part of the action plan against COVID-19. Reliance also revealed that the doctors and researchers at the Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital are working overtime to find a cure for this deadly virus.
“Reliance will provide free fuel for all emergency service vehicles used to transport Covid-19 patients and quarantined people,” it said. Above all, the business giant announced that those earning below Rs 30,000 per month, salaries will be paid twice a month to protect their cash flow and mitigate any overwhelming financial burden.
