With festive season ahead, the central government announcing Unlock 5.0 relaxation came as good news to many employees and wagers stuck in a dilemma whether to head back to home town.
While Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are still at loggerheads over running bus services to Hyderabad despite numerous meetings, private travels are gearing up to run a full range of buses in the one of the busiest service route.
In the line of new permissions issued, the AP state government has allowed private travels to run services from AP to Hyderabad from October. It was learnt that Telangana government, as well, accepted to permit the services levying certain taxes. While 50 buses will be permitted in the first phase, the number of services will be increased gradually to 800, confirmed the sources.
With the festive season right around the corner, the private travels took no qualms to bank the opportunity while some of the travel agencies already spiked the ticket prices. Usually, RTC charges Rs 430 for a non-AC super luxury ticket from Vijayawada to Hyderabad as the private travel services are now charging over Rs 700 for the same.
Meanwhile, RTC social media handles flooded with posts requesting the authorities to resume the inter-state services with the festive season around easing burden to the passengers.
