Amidst the rumors that TDP senior leader, Rajahmundry Rural MLA Gorantla Butchayya Chaudhary is all set to resign from the party, the leader dropped a bombshell to the party chief Chandrababu Naidu. In a recent development, Gorantla has been meeting with Andhra Pradesh TDP president Atchannaidu and other senior TDP leaders for the past few days.
While the TDP leaders like Chinarajappa are covering up that the Gorantla will not leave the party despite the disturbances, MLA of Rajahmundry rural constituency On Thursday broke his silence over the resignation reports. Stating that he would soon make an official announcement, Gorantla reminded that he has been one of the loyal leaders who stood by the party ever since its inception.
He also clarified that he would make the right decision at right time. Gorantla further stated that he is not interested in meeting Chandrababu as he already expressed his stand with the other senior leaders in the party. “There are a lot of flaws in the party’s conduct. The party can survive only if it considers the sentiments of TDP workers across the state,” he said.
Earlier, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu himself spoke to Gorantla over a phone call over a half-hour to discussion on the difficulties the latter has been facing. Sources have it that Chandrababu and Lokesh are trying all odds to pacify the senior leader.
