The comments made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sharma on Congress President Rahul Gandhi sparked quite a controversy throughout the country. Many political leaders criticized Himanta for making such baseless blatant comments on a man of such stature. TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy also responded to the same, asking how dare he says things like that about the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi. Revanth even took it a step ahead asking if Himanta is based out of China or Assam. He demanded to know Himanta’s ancestry.
Since some of Himanta’s comments are directly attacking Rahul Gandhi, Revanth stated that the BJP party doesn’t have a minimum respect for their motherland, such is their culture. He added that everything Himanta has said is not just attacking Rahul Gandhi, but every other respectful mother in this country. He confirmed that criminal cases will be filed against Himanta Sharma in all the 709 police stations in Assam state, stating that Congress is a party of morals and ethics and none of their members would talk in such a way about anybody else in the country.
On the other hand, Revanth declared that very soon there will be a celebration of the completion of 30 lakh members in the state.
Linking this to KCR’s political alignment, Revanth Reddy stated that CM KCR must file a case against Assam CM and make him come down to Telangana police station and that is the only way to prove his loyalty as a chief minister to the people of Telangana.
