As part of the awareness campaign on the Warangal Declaration, the Congress party has organized meetings across the state. These were carried out across the state on the occasion of the death anniversary of the late, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy attended the rally at Professor Jayashankar’s hometown Akkampeta. Revanth mentioned that he visited the place to embrace the greatness of Jayashankar, who gave vision to Telangana.
Revanth, talking about the condition of the village, mentioned that Akkampeta is suffering from backwardness, was incensed that KCR had not even erected a statue of Jayashankar. Madhusudanachari, who said he would set up a Jayashankar Smriti Vana, was criticized and was sacked from his job. Revanth also bashed KCR, alleging that he never mentioned the name of the Jayashankar in any important events.
Revanth said Congress would come to power in 12 months. He made it clear that the Warangal farmer declaration will be implemented without fail. “We will remove KCR. We will remove the Darani portal. We promise you that KCR will be slapped with a chappal. Akkampet, which has a population of 5,000, was not yet turned into a revenue village, we will change that too,” Revanth firmly stated.

Further, Revanth said that Congress would adopt Akkampeta and bring Rahul here when the party comes to power. He said that Akkampeta will be turned into an ideal village. He also said that he would fight against the government for land pooling and if necessary he would come along with the farmers to lead the rallies. He said that there is barely any food to eat at a Dalit’s house. Revanth also assured the locals to let him know if MLA Challa Dharmareddy ever harasses the poor people of the region, adding that he will chase and beat the hell out of the MLA if needed.
