TPCC president Revanth Reddy accused Kaleswaram of being a victim of Chief Minister KCR’s corruption and wrong policies of the government. He criticized that thousands of crores were looted in the name of projects. He added that it is because of KCR’s family that people became homeless due to sand exploitation. Further, he said that even in such a difficult situation, KCR is reviewing national politics instead of focusing on the victims. As long as this poverty exists, the suffering of Telangana will not go away.
The Godavari is flowing high after the highest rainfall has been recorded in the last 10 days. When the rainy season is coming, the CM has to review with the respective departments and ministers in the month of May. A helpline should be set up and continuously monitored by the CM, the medical and health department should be alerted to the disaster teams during disasters to prevent diseases. But when CM KCR conducted the review, he was accused of reviewing the party defections without calling the medical and health department but the disaster teams and the respective officials. He called the leaders of neighboring states and criticized them for talking about his role in national politics.
On the other hand, two Singareni employees died in the floods while trying to save others. Revanth expressed anger that at least the state government did not announce condolence for them. In the name of redesign, the Kaleshwaram project was built by spending more than one lakh crores. Motors were sunk everywhere. Not sure they will work again. Corruption of crores of rupees has taken place. Revanth criticized the state government saying that Kaleshwaram has fallen victim to KCR’s corruption.
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy demanded the central government to recognize the floods as a national disaster and immediately release 2 thousand crores of which Rs 50 lakh must be given as compensation to each family.
