Police opened fire during the Secunderabad railway station riots. A young man named Rakesh was killed and several others were injured in the incident. They are being treated at Gandhi Hospital. In this context, TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy went to meet them.
Police were heavily deployed near Gandhi Hospital on learning that Revanth was coming. Revanth, however, unexpectedly entered through the back gate. Knowing the matter, the police stopped him. This led to an altercation between the police and Rewanth for a while. This created a tense situation for a while.
However, in the end, Revanth managed to consult those injured in the riots. He affirmed the victims’ family members and told them to stay strong. Physicians are advised to provide better treatment. Meanwhile, in the morning, he was arrested by the police on his way to attend Rakesh’s funeral. Revanth was outraged at the attitude of the police after leaving the station. After that, he went to the Gandhi hospital.
Meanwhile, The Congress leaders have decided to hold a satyagraha at the Gandhi statue in Gandhi Bhavan from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday as part of the AICC’s call to scrap the Agneepath project.
