Right from the day, it was introduced, GO 317 has become quite a horrific thing for the working professionals in Telangana state. Over ten people committed suicides so far, many are expressing distress about it on social media. Employees took to the road protesting against the GO, and children are urging the chief minister not to separate from their parents. Opposition parties both Congress and BJP are giving a tough fight to KCR on the same. People are quite aggravated at the chief minister for introducing this GO, many are calling it baseless and unnecessary.
With all of this on the plate, employees, especially teachers are carrying out their protests against the G.O, in multiple cities and towns across the state. As a part of this, a maha dharna (huge protest) was organized on Wednesday. The tensions were high in the major areas in the city, many protested at Indirapark, of which some were arrested by the police.
TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy led this event in many places. he demanded the immediate omission of the G.O, as it is harassing the common people by parting them from their children and life partners. He urged the union ministry to intervene in this situation and abolish the GO, he stated that implementation of 317 GO is causing a lot of problems to the teachers in the state, and it is actually against the Presidential orders.
Revanth further accused KCR’s government of being rude and ruthless with the employees in the state. He urged the home ministry to take an immediate look into the GO, and abolish it altogether.
