Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leaders who announced ‘Chalo Pragathi Bhavan’, has however set a storm with their protests at the official residence of the Chief Minister. Though the police house arrested all the prominent Congress leaders from Sunday night, Revanth Reddy has shocked everyone with his flash appearance at Pragathi Bhavan slipping out of the hands of Hyderabad police. Under dramatic circumstances, the leader was however taken into custody which created quite a chaos at Begumpet.
Speaking to the media after the arrest, Revanth stated that Congress party would continue their protest against KCR-led government in support of the RTC employee unions. He then demanded the government to disburse the salaries for the month of September and to announce an ex gratia of Rs 50 lakhs for the families of the two deceased employees. “We condemn the government’s lame excuse that they have only Rs 7 crores for clearing the salaries. Do not get discouraged and come to extreme decisions, we are with you in this fight,” he assured.
