Hyderabad: Nampally CBI court has raised an objection on the petition filed by Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy who sought exemption from personal appearance pertaining to the inappropriate assets case. In the view of his administrative affairs in a role of the Chief Minister, Jagan filed the petition seeking an exemption. He also specified to consider his plea as the state is in revenue deficit. CBI court has however raised objections that ‘revenue deficit’ can’t be considered for the person like CM to be exempted from personal appearance. CBI has filed a counter-petition in this regard. The petition stated that Jagan was likely to influence witnesses and hide the facts if exempted. “It is not difficult for a person in the CM cadre to attend the court in Hyderabad once in a week,” it stated. The court will hear further arguments in the CBI counter on this Friday.
