Guntur: Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed the GO 63 issued by State government for reviewing the Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) of solar and wind power companies yet again. The State government has been ordered to make necessary payments immediately under the new tariff policy. The High Court has ordered the AP Electricity Regulatory Commission(APERC) to resolve issues over the price of power purchase agreements within six months and to mediate any future disputes.
Relevant orders are issued to the state government to restore the supply immediately from the companies that have stopped taking electricity for various reasons. On this note, the High Court has approved the government’s claim of paying an interim payment of Rs 2.43-2.44 paise per unit. This had come as a relief for the power companies who were stopped to supply power.
