The unexpected corona break came as a shock for many production houses including Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions which halted many of the high budgeted projects. Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Fighter’(working title) is one such project while main lead Vijay Devarakonda and director Puri even shifted their base to Mumbai for the project.
With the main and only project in his hand not resuming shoot any time soon, rumours floated that the ‘Rowdy’ hero started to sign next projects. Rumours mongers also had it that Vijay signed a project with Tamil production house Dusky Entertainments for a PAN-India project.
The production also made an official announcement stating that they are in search of a female lead for Vijay. However, things started to heat up with the ‘Arjun Reddy’ star statement that he hasn’t signed any project and the news is fake.
Further, his team clarified that the production house approached Vijay with the script and he denied it. While the news has it that Vijay’s team is prepping up for legal action against the production house, Dusky Productions issues a public apology.
The movie with Puri produced by Charmmee is waiting for Maharashtra government’s approval to resume shooting. Bollywood bombshell Ananya Panday is playing the female lead in the sports drama. The film will be a pan Indian movie as it is going to release in all south Indian languages and Hindi.
