Every news around SS Rajamouli’s multi-starrer ‘RRR'(working title) has been creating a sensation. Though it has come as the disappointment, the news that the team postponing their release date also trended like never before setting news records. Ready to hit the screens on January 8th, 2021 as Sankranthi Special, ‘RRR’ is now setting new business trends as the makers recently sealed the satellite and digital rights.
According to the buzz in Tollywood, the makers of RRR have sold the all language satellite rights to Star Network for a whopping 220 Crore, while the Hotstar bagged the digital rights. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, trusted sources revealed that the makers are now busy locking the deal for overseas rights. Rounding it off, it can be observed that the team bagged double the theatre business through the satellite and digital rights.
Sources also revealed that the networks which bought the rights are quite happy with the trade made as the movie is rolling out in almost 10 Indian languages with the PAN-India image. Grapevine has it that the makers have signed up almost Rs. 450 crores for the film while more than Rs. 150 crores was planned only for the crucial climax.
