The first thing the Jagan-led government has done which drew criticism is the demolition of Praja Vedika which was taken up by the former government. The main reason stated by the government was that the previous government has misused the government funds for unnecessary facilities. But seems like life came a full circle for the Jagan and his government which is now spending a bomb for the maintenance of the residences of the Chief Minister.
Not many days after the government drew flak for sanctioning Rs 73 lakh for installation of aluminium doors and windows at Tadepalli residence, AP government has sanctioned around Rs 1.9 crore yet again towards the upkeep of the house. Two G.Os were issued on Monday by the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department department releasing a whopping amount of Rs 1.2 crore for “annual maintenance” of the CM camp residence in Tadepalli in Amaravati. Besides this, the second G.O sanctioned Rs 39 lakh for providing furniture and Rs 35.5 lakh for Lotus Pond, Jagan’s Hyderabad residence. The fact that the residence was already invested with Rs. 17 crores of government funds for the house that is not yet one year old has been receiving criticising upon which the official denied to respond
