All thanks to Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, Rana Daggubati is now the first option for the directors who opt to go with a mythological or a periodic film. Though the actor has maintained quite a low key from the past few months pertaining to his health issues, he seems to be back with a bang. While the actor is all busy wrapping up his upcoming film ‘Virataparvam’ alongside Sai Pallavi, close sources confirmed Rana’s given a nod to multilingual films such as ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ and ‘1940’.
On this note, standing true to the gossips, Rana has signed the mythological drama ‘Hiranyakashipu’ which would be helmed by and bankrolled by Gunasekhar. Rumoured to be the most lavish movies in the recent times, Rana is said to play the challenging role of Hiranyakashipu, the rude and demon king who son happens to be an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. Rumour mills have it that the makers have allotted a whopping amount of Rs 180 crore budget to the mythological film. Pre-production works of the film are already on the swing and if the information is to be believed a sprawling palace set worth Rs 15 crores is being built in Ramanaidu studio for the story. Further info about the cast and crew are yet to be revealed.
