Followed by the central government announcing the considerable number of relaxations from May 17th, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments have taken a crucial decision which has come as good news for many stranded migrants, pilgrims, tourists and students across the states.
While TSRTC has been accorded permission to operate the buses across all the districts in the state except to the containment zones, AP government on Monday has given permission to resume the APSRTC services along with private travel services across the state. Both the governments hereby stated that the bus services would be run in accordance with the guidelines of the Home Ministry.
In the line of the new guidelines issued, buses will be operated with 50 per cent occupancy while passengers will be allowed to board only after thermal scanning. Sanitisers will also be provided for passengers to contain coronavirus in buses with social distancing as the main guideline. On the other hand, the ticket prices are also likely to go high once again in the view of the losses incurred to TSRTC due to lockdown. While the respective state governments are still discussing on inter-state transportation.
