High tensions prevailed at various RTC deports from the wee hours as the employees gathered to rejoin in their respective duties. Upon RTC JAC unions calling off the indefinite strike that has been on a severe note from the past 52 days, the union leaders have already announced that the employees would join from 6 AM on Tuesday. They have also asked the temporary employees to act accordingly.
However, the TSRTC MD Sunil Sharma has released a statement that the employees joining back while the plea is still in Labour Court is against the law. Accordingly, the government has deployed special teams of police from the wee hours to avoid onward incidents. The workers who queued up at their respective depots to join duty at the call of trade unions were blocked by the police personnel which led to high tensions at many deports across the state. At a few of the deports there have been disputes between the temporary staff and RTC employees who blocked the former from attending their duties. This is receiving flak from the JAC leaders and employees who already struggled for many days.
