Hyderabad: As the TSRTC employees’ indefinite strike progresses to 25th day, neither the state government nor the unions seems to head back with the demands put forth. Amidst this, as the part of the action plan to bring down the government for negotiations, the RTC unions called for a massive public meeting. Though the employees faced the denial from the Hyderabad police of late, the High Court allowed them to hold a public meeting on Wednesday with certain conditions.
As thousand of TSRTC employees turned up with their families, hundreds of leaders and politicians came to the public meet in support of the striking employees. Speaking at the event, the RTC JAC leaders stated that the call was made with an aim of boosting confidence amongst the workers who are on strike from the past 25 days. They demanded the KCR-led government to consider their demands. On this note, a few Opposition leaders who spoke at the event urged the employees to stay strong and not to approach suicide.
