It has been 52 days since the RTC employees have called on the indefinite strike. Despite the repeated efforts made by the High Court and RTC unions, seems like the government has no qualms to end the strike anytime soon. The employees have also temporarily dropped down the merger demand and stated that they are ready to hold talks with the government which was turned down by the latter. However, the union leaders and employees are all set to take a key decision upon the stubborn behaviour of the KCR-led government. The meeting being held at the employees Union office in Vidyanagar was attended by BJP leaders Vivek and Jitender Reddy, RTC leaders, Telangana Jana Samiti president Prof Kodandaram, TTDP president L Ramana and leaders from various parties and public unions. Post the meeting, the RTC JAC leaders are to make a clear statement on the future activities in the near future.
