Samantha Akkineni, one of the versatile South Indian actors who once ruled the industry with back-to-back hits seems to be offline for quite some time. Apart from her social media posts and Insta Q&A sessions, the actress didn’t sign any project after a dud offering ‘Jaanu’.
Amidst the rumours that she is going to quit the movie to take a well-deserved break after her wedding with actor Naga Chaitanya, the actor issued a clarification committing to the season-2 of the web series ‘The Family Man’.
Meanwhile, Samantha signed ‘Shakuntalam’ as well which will be directed by Gunasekhar. Apart from this, the actress has reportedly didn’t sign any projects while the rumour monger took turns in triggering new rumours.
Sources close to Samantha confirmed that the gap is a deliberate and a calculated one. Samantha decided not to sign any new projects for now and she would complete the shoot of ‘Shakuntalam’ at the earliest and will take a break. Sources also have it that Sam after the break is planning to be choosy in picking up the scripts.
