YTP president Sharmila blames the government for all the failures in the state about everything. Talking about the recent incident in which a Sarpanch was seen begging, Sharmila brutally took it out on the KCR-led TRS government in Telangana. Indicating this sad incident, Sharmila said that in the so-called Golden Telangana of KCR, sarpanches are begging for alms.
Sharmila criticized the stature of the government saying that the sarpanches who have done development work in the villages by bringing money for interest are begging in the village for the arrival of salaries and bills for the work done. “Is it fair to exploit the sarpanches’ insecurities by letting them do the development work with their own money, with no help from the government? she asked.
“KCR keeps boasting that Telangana is a rich state, but he has turned the state into a pile of debt. There is no money to give to the gram panchayats. There is no money to pay the salaries of the employees,” accused Sharmila.
Nalgonda District Munugod Major Grama Panchayat Sarpanch Miriyala Venkanna was seen begging half-naked on the village premises. He protested that the government was not releasing funds for development works. The gram panchayat was in a situation where it could not pay the current bills and the employees were not paid their salaries for three months. He said that he did not care how many times he complained to the authorities, what to do with it or he was begging with the workers wandering around the shops in wool with thick sandals. It is against this backdrop that criticism has been heaped by Sharmila against the government.
