Hinting upon a major shift in the political scenarios in the state politics, VK Sasikala, the expelled AIADMK chief who is released last month after completing four year-term entered Tamil Nadu on Monday morning.
The former chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s close aide entered the state in a sport utility vehicle carrying the AIADMK. While her cadre planned for a massive welcome at 32 points along her path, a throng was witnessed at Tamil Nadu state border at Atebelle.

It can be noted that Sasikala carrying AIADMK flag turned controversial while the ruling party ruling filed a police complaint against Sasikala using the party flag stating that she is no longer a member in their party. The Palaniswamy government ordered to keep Jayalalithaa’s memorial closed ahead of Sasikala’s visit soon after the inaugural which is speculated to be a deliberate move.
In the wake of which, the properties owned by V N Sudhakaran and J Ilavarasi, close relatives of expelled AIADMK leader V K Sasikala and co-convicts in the city have been confiscated. The AIADMK government on Saturday alleged she could incite riots on her return by deliberately provoking sentiments.
