While all the government and private educational institutions including Anganwadi centers in Telangana will be allowed to reopen from September 1, the state High Court on Tuesday gave a shocker to the state government. The Telangana High Court has stayed the state government’s decision to reopen physical classes.
Responding to the PIL filed by parents’ associations challenging the August 24, the court instructed the educational institutions can continue to conduct online classes. It also directed the government not to coerce or put pressure on parents to send their children to schools and colleges if they do not feel it is safe.
Educational institutions are now allowed to decide whether to resume offline classes or carry on with online classes.
