Snubbing off the lockdown and night curfew reports, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday assured that the government will not take hasty decisions. However, the TRS supremo urged people to strictly follow Covid-19 safety norms and avoid mass gatherings.
On this note, the CM stated that the government will not permit huge gatherings, rallies, functions and events. Reminding that the state suffered a lot due to the lockdown previously, KCR clarified that their government has no plans to announce the lockdown.
He said the State also performed well in terms of spreading of Covid and also economic growth. It can be noted that the KCR-led state government has passed orders to close all the educational institutes in the wake of increasing corona cases.
Speaking in the assembly, the Chief Minister also said that the government was committed to increasing reservations for Muslims, SCs and STs. “The Centre should give freedom to states on deciding the percentage of reservations,” he said.
