BJP leader Vijayashanti has condemned the atrocities at the Secunderabad railway station and trains across the country in protest against the Agneepath scheme announced by the Center regarding Army appointments. She said it was not the work of young people and students preparing for Army jobs, as some media outlets have been campaigning for. It was made clear that there was no doubt that there was definitely a conspiracy behind this violence.
She opined that all this was pre-planned and executed with a grudge against the Modi government by the anti-BJP factions, the unscrupulous forces, and the violence provoking the rowdy mobs. She reminded that even in the days when the Telangana movement was in full swing for years, the students and youths of the state exercised restraint and staged rail rookies, cookouts, bandhs, and peaceful protests. Unfortunately, some have killed themselves for the cause. She also explained that the public property and the state’s properties were never burnt before, and neither are innocent people hurt.
Vijayashanti said that even when the Telangana government failed to give jobs to the students for years, the students are still at peace. She further questioned, “Will the students and youths who want to join the Army to serve the country damage the assets of this country?” The vandals attacked unidentified persons and shops at Secunderabad station with knives, sticks, and stones, burning parcels and leaving passengers, including women and the elderly, running for the sake of their lives.
Vijayashanti said that it is not possible to believe that this is the work of students and youth. She said it was clear that the conspiracy was hatched by BJP opponents. Because people are innocent, she said, the truth will come out soon.
