In a setback to Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the sessions court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody in connection with the drug cartel in Bollywood.
In the line of the new orders issued, Judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant’s cook Dipesh and manager Samuel Miranda is extended till October 6.
While Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty have requested bail, the Bombay High Court will reportedly take up the arguments on Wednesday. It can be noted that actress is under the custody from September 9th on drugs charges linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation.
The drugs inquiry started after WhatsApp chats on Rhea Chakraborty’s phone revealed conversations on buying drugs for the actor, while she was speculated to reveal a list of Bollywood biggies who allegedly procured drugs.
Shakthi Kapoor’s daughter and actress Shraddha Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara were learnt to be among the list of the celebrities.
In yet another sensational development in the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) probe over drug cartel in Bollywood, Deepika Padukone’s name emerges in one of the WhatsApp chats. Deepika’s manager Karishma is already being interrogated by NCB in connection with drug peddlers.
